Wearing It with Pride

We had sent a TAO T-shirt to one of our clients. While he acknowledged receipt of it, he never wore it until today. He came into the session wearing it proudly, attracting a lot of attention from the rest of the team. And then, in his opening statement, he said, "I wear this today with faith and pride because I feel we are finally and truly moving toward alignment."

I was, of course, very touched by this... what phenomenal validation! But more than that, for me, it was an act that made me own up to the trust and courage we are witness to, that we, too, carry on our shoulders and in our hearts. This, to me, is what being a consultant means: a partner, a sutradhar who is both inside and outside, experimenting and enabling spaces of such potential and possibilities. I wear this with a deep sense of responsibility and, very importantly, with pride.
